The Polyphonic Spree was founded in 2000 by Tim DeLaughter—singer, songwriter, and creative leader of the band. What began as one man’s desire to hear a sound he dreamt about quickly grew into a musical collective unlike any other. Before many of the bands that are often compared to the Spree had even formed, The Polyphonic Spree was already carving its own path. The band has ranged in size from 13 to 27 members, though it has never been about the size but about the sound.

Over the last 20+ years, The Polyphonic Spree has headlined tours and festivals all over the world, toured with David Bowie, and played the MTV Music Video Awards, the Noble Peace Prize ceremony, and the Beatles induction into the UK Music Hall of Fame. Their music has brought hope and joy to millions of people and has been showcased in numerous feature films including The Big Short, Lorax, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Wonder, Thumbsucker, and Visioneers. They also performed the Emmy-nominated theme song for the Showtime series The United States of Tara.

To date, The Polyphonic Spree has released six full-length studio albums: The Beginning Stages of…, Together We’re Heavy, The Fragile Army, Holidaydream, Yes, It’s True, and their latest release, Salvage Enterprise.

Expanding their artistic vision, The Polyphonic Spree has recently created Resolution: A Cinephonic Rhapsody For The Soul, an immersive film that brings Salvage Enterprise to life as a cinematic experience. The film showcases the album in a visually stunning and format, further reinforcing the band’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries.

Often imitated but never duplicated, The Polyphonic Spree continues to move forward.
